A Word From The Country Music Cruise Executive Producer Mike Jason

This year, as in most, late May and early June grants us a moment to reflect and gather ourselves for the summer season.

It’s a time for barbecues, picnics, trips the beach or lake as the weather turns decidedly warm, and as always plenty of live music. Of course, June brings us the CMA Music Festival (it will always be Fan Fair to many of us), kicking off the heavy touring season and giving us a chance to see some of our favorite country artists perform. Last month I was fortunate to catch a Jeff Foxworthy show and have plans to see a few more of our 2019 artists in the next few months with Shenandoah in June, Bellamy Brothers in July, Joe Diffie in August, and it looks like The Oak Ridge Boys and Ricky Skaggs in the Fall. How lucky are we that we get to have them in one place and all together on board The Country Music Cruise 2019?

This time of year also brings us Memorial Day and gives us an entirely different reason to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice our many men and women in uniform have made over the years. They and their families are always in our thoughts and prayers and particularly this coming weekend. Many of you, our valued guests, have served and we are eternally grateful. On board, we traditionally host a get together for our service men, women, their spouses and significant others as well as our first responders. It is a small way of saying thanks and taking a moment to reflect on all of the sacrifices.

With Respect this Memorial Day Weekend and Always,

- Mike Jason, Executive Producer
