A Word From The Country Music Cruise Executive Producer Mike Jason
June is my favorite time of the year-my birthday and my wife’s birthday plus what I always consider the acceleration of the country music season- the CMA Music Festival. Of course it will always be Fan Fair to those of us that have been around a while. It is always a unique experience to see tens of thousands of fans interacting with the stars and legends of country music. There is just no other genre of music where that happens.
Recently I spent some time in Nashville planning the on board performances and activities of our 2018 cruise and catching up with some of my favorite country artists that have been with us over the years. We had lunch with Johnny Lee and Brenda Lee as well as some members of the national and local press. Everyone enjoyed the lunch our host and publicist, Kirt Webster, organized and the press learned a bit about Starvista Live and our 6 annual, themed, music cruises. Most importantly we had some fun with Johnny and Brenda.
On Wednesday, I had the honor of attending the Webster client appreciation dinner and seeing old friends and stars that have cruised with us including T. Graham Brown, Richard Sterban, Duane Allen, Joe Bonsall and William Lee Golden of the Oak Ridge Boys, Sylvia, Bryan White, Deborah Allen, Johnny Lee and many others. Everyone talked about how much fun they have onboard The Country Music Cruise and can’t wait to get back. T. Graham and Johnny Lee are already planning their Family Feud Game Show rematch.
