New Projects from Our Country Music Cruise Artists

Several of our beloved Country Music Cruise artists have been hard at work creating new music to perform for our guests when the cruise sets sail in January.  They’ve even managed to find time to write a book.

Here’s a look at the new classics available now and coming soon:

The Oak Ridge Boys released a new album on May 26th, Rock of Ages, Hymns and Gospel Favorites.  The album immediately debuted at #1 on the Southern Gospel Album Chart and was in the Top 10 of Billboard Magazine’s Christian Albums Chart. Earlier that month, band member Joe Bonsall published On the Road with The Oak Ridge Boys: Forty Years of Untold Stories and Adventures, a book of his memories spanning over 40 years of touring.

The Bellamy Brothers put out not one but two CDs on May 26th, a special anniversary collection titled 40 Years: The Album.  One disc features 20 of the duo’s greatest hits while the other disc includes an astounding 20 new songs!

T. Graham Brown may show cruise guests his newest talent, playing the guitar!  A childhood injury left him unable to play guitar chords until he began working with ChordBuddy earlier this year.  “ChordBuddy has given me the opportunity to do something I've always wanted to do-play the guitar. Travis (Perry, founder of ChordBuddy) has become a great friend; the partnership was a natural and I can't wait to introduce all my fans to this amazing product!” says T. Graham Brown.

America’s Favorite Cowboys, Riders in the Sky, released Salute To Roy Rogers earlier this year on Riders Radio Records.  “Roy was my idol, plain and simple,” says Rider Too Slim. “This show will trigger (sorry about that) a lot of memories for folks our age, and introduce new generations to a wonderful man and artist who deserves to be celebrated.”

Go Live Your Life, released just a couple of months ago, is Wade Hayes’ first album since being diagnosed with colon cancer in 2011.  “It wasn't too long ago that I was looking at a 12 percent chance of living a year,” he recently told Billboard magazine about the inspiration behind Go Live Your Life.  “To have that on my mind every day, and to go out into the world and see it from that aspect, changed everything. I'm enjoying this time in my life and making it a point to appreciate every day as much as I can.”   Genentech has partnered with Wade, pledging to donate $1 to the Colon Cancer Alliance Blue Note Fund for each album downloaded on iTunes.
