Country Music Catch Up

We know that you’re probably missing the jam sessions, cooking demonstrations, and late nights at the piano bar on The Country Music Cruise – we are too. Luckily, we have found one thing to keep us busy (and sane) during this time of social distancing… and that’s catching up with some of our favorite Country music artists! Check out what they’ve been up to and don’t forget to subscribe to the StarVista LIVE YouTube channel and like us on Facebook so you don’t miss any exciting content.

Urban Cowboy Reunion

2020 has been a year of seismic change (and we’re glad it’s almost over!). But for Mickey Gilley, the year 2020 is pretty special – it’s the 40th Anniversary of the 1980 film “Urban Cowboy”, starring John Travolta, where Mickey’s bar “Gilley’s” was used as the famed backdrop. Both Gilley and longtime friend and Country Music Cruise legend Johnny Lee made several appearances in the movie, alongside other icons such as Charlie Daniels and Bonnie Raitt. We had a chance to chat with Mickey and Johnny to talk about some of their favorite memories from the movie, what they’ve been doing for the past seven months, and what they’re looking forward to on The Country Music Cruise. You can watch the full interview above or here.

Country Faith with Mo Pitney

You know her from the Country Faith seminars on The Country Music Cruise, but now Deborah Evans Price is takin’ it the Zoom screen! Price is an author and freelance writer for major publications like Billboard, Redbook and Women’s World and has joined us on the cruise since 2015. First, she caught up with Mo Pitney, who will be sailing with us for the FIRST time in 2021! Mo has had a lot goin’ on lately – a new house (which he built!), a new baby, and a new album, “Ain’t Lookin’ Back”, which you can listen to on mopitney.com. Hear about all this and more on YouTube above or here.

Country Faith with Mark Miller from Sawyer Brown

Deborah also reached out to her good friend Mark Miller, lead singer of Sawyer Brown. Sawyer Brown first broke into the Nashville scene with their groundbreaking and energetic performances and quickly became a leading group in both the Country music and Christian communities. You can watch the interview here, to listen in on the importance of Miller’s faith in his life, how he got his start, and what he’s been up to to stay busy.

Sitting Down With Our Favorite Brothers

And we couldn’t miss another opportunity to hang out with Deborah Evans Price and four-time Country Music Cruise alumni The Gatlin Brothers! Although we might not be seeing The Gatlins onboard this year, we couldn’t resist talking to them about exciting upcoming projects and what they’ve been doing to keep themselves busy. Hear all the stories and have a couple laughs by watching this interview.

We have more awesome content that we can’t wait to share with you! We can’t wait to be together again for Real Country Music and a Real Good Time.
