Brett Kissel to Join Country Superstar Brad Paisley on Canadian National Tour
Brett Kissel is set to head on a coast-to-coast fall tour, opening for one of the world’s biggest names in country music, Brad Paisley, an event that was foretold almost 10 years earlier.
“Words cannot describe how excited I am to be hitting the road with Brad Paisley this fall,” says Brett. “I have been a fan of Brad’s since seeing him perform about 10 years ago and meeting him in Nashville.”
It was that chance encounter that adds a layer of magic to this story.
In 2005, Brad Paisley was celebrating his number 1 hit “Mud on the Tires.” A young Kissel was visiting Nashville with his mother when a friend invited the pair to Brad‘s #1 party at the ASCAP building.
“After my mother and I met Brad, he signed an autograph for me,” recounted Brett. “It was on a piece of paper and it said ‘Brett, save me a spot on your tour – Brad Paisley.’”
“It took almost 10 years, but Brad Paisley has finally joined my Canadian tour,” Brett joked.
Brad Paisley’s Canadian leg of his Country Nation World Tour begins Oct. 2 in Victoria, British Columbia, with subsequent dates in Abbotsford, Kelowna, Prince George, Dawson Creek, Red Deer, Lethbridge, and Moose Jaw (with more dates to be announced soon). Tickets for all shows are on sale.
Brad Paisley is a three-time Grammy winner, 14-time Academy of Country Music Award winner, and 14-time Country Music Association winner, and has had a staggering 18 singles reach No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
